In the most recent boom of the cannabis business model, I selected the Cal/OSHA Cannabis Industry Health and Safety program that includes those who cultivate, manufacture, distribute, sell, and test marijuana products, must take steps to protect their employees from all health and safety hazards associated with their work. Many of the existing regulations apply to the cannabis industry. For example, electrical hazards with the heating lamps; exposure to airborne contaminants and heat limiting employee exposure; applying communication about hazards; no smoking indoors; regulations for sanitation and pest control. Many of the safety regulations are to protect the employees from injury or health risks.
